Whilst 2018 started with a bang in the form of the ELEAGUE Boston Major, the fun isn’t slowing down anytime soon. This month, we’ll be getting two major international tournaments with major prize pools, as well as some qualifiers for events happening later in the year.

StarSeries I-League Season 4

Season 4 of the StarSeries I-League will begin this month. Starting on February 17, this is the first major event to be hosted in February 2018. There’s a $300,000 prize pool on the line and a total of 16 teams will be fighting for a piece of it.

Like previous StarSeries events, season 4 will be held in Kiev, Ukraine. The final will take place on February 25. Teams participating in this event include: Astralis, G2, Liquid, Renegades, Cloud9, Gambit, Mousesports, SK, FaZe, HellRaisers, MVP PK, TyLoo, Fnatic, Heroic, Natus Vincere, and Virtus.Pro

IEM Katowice 2018

Just two days after StarSeries I-League Season 4 wraps up, IEM Katowice 2018 will be underway. Starting on February 27, IEM Katowice 2018 is set to be one of the biggest events of the year. Some big names will be participating in this tournament, alongside some lesser known teams. All 16 participating teams will be fighting for a huge $500,000 prize pool.

With the event being hosted in Katowice, Poland, will Virtus.Pro be able to ride off of their national pride like previous years to pick up an unexpected win?

IEM Katowice 2018 will continue on until March 4, which has been marked as the day of the grand final. Teams participating in IEM Katowice 2018 include: Astralis, AVANGAR, CLoud9, FaZe, Fnatic, G2, Gambit, Heroic, Liquid, NiP, North, ORDER, Renegades, SK, TyLoo, and Virtus.Pro.

ECS Season 5 Qualifiers

Late last year, the ECS Season 4 finals showcased some of the best matches we had seen in the entirety of 2017.

We’re very excited for ECS Season 5 and we’re hoping the same level of competitive CS:GO will make a return this year. Qualifiers for ECS Season 5 will begin in February. The Closed qualifiers for Europe and North America will take place from February 16 till February 18.

Intel Challenge Katowice 2018

Intel Challenge Katowice is a female-only event that will be presented by Intel one week before the main stage event. Starting on February 23 and ending on February 24, this two-day event will see eight female teams fight for a portion of a $50,000 prize pool.

The announced teams for this event are: CLG Red, Dignitas Female, Keyd Stars Female, RES, ARES Female, Squared Female, LLG, and a mixed group of female players.
